Have you ever stared at an antique family portrait wondering why people from old ages had such a stern face? Would I have been like that if I had lived then? What was it like growing up in a family like that? Throughout history, for the most part, only very rich people could afford to entrust a painter with having a family portrait painted of themselves.

In the 19th century, however, the invention and the widespread use of photography paved the way for a wider audience, what's more, Queen Victoria and Albert were especially passionate about family portrait photography and they popularized it. Nowadays, when we can take photos spontaneously at any time, anywhere, the role of well-composed, sophisticated Fine Art family portraits seems to be reappreciating. We can hang them above our fireplace or on the wall of our living room at their well-deserved place instead of oblivion. With Fine Art family portraits, we try to revive this almost forgotten tradition and establish an eternal memory as a beautiful proof of family togetherness and love.

2. Where does the photo session take place?

The location of the photo session is my studio in Érd, where all the props and technical equipments are available. I look forward to welcoming you through hand-painted Italian canvas backgrounds and custom-made, quality dresses.

3. How to prepare for Fine Art Family Portraits?

In case of Fine Art family portrait photography, it’s worth investing more energy in the careful selection of clothes and accessories for family members. It is very important to choose clothes in similar style that also harmonize with each other in color. It is possible to assemble the garments according to a certain basic color, for example using monochrome color harmony, but we can also create a great composition from analog or complementary color pairs. Conscious design is an important part of preparation, as we do not take an “average” photograph, but bring a painting-like work to life.

As part of the consultation, we’ll discuss in detail what hairstyle and clothes each family member is going to wear so that everyone can get the best shape possible in the photos. Mothers can choose from a variety of evening dresses available upon request.

4. How are images transferred?

I will send the completed digital, high-quality retouched, high-resolution images to you through Google Photos within four weeks. You have three weeks to download the photos, after that they will be deleted.

5. What is the booking and payment process?

ou can book by transferring the session fee of EUR 50. In case of cancellation the amount of the session fee will not be refunded. Changes are possible up to 72 hours before shooting. The price of the photos can be settled after the session by bank transfer when buying the retouched images.
